TRUSSVILLE — The Hewitt-Trussville varsity boys basketball team won big Monday in first-year head coach Mike Dutton’s debut.
The Huskies beat Boaz 65-30 at Bryant Bank Arena. Hewitt-Trussville led 38-13 at halftime.

Senior guard Jarvis Calhoun scored 25 points for Hewitt-Trussville.
The boys travel to Clay-Chalkville on Thursday for a 7:30 p.m. game.
The Hewitt-Trussville varsity girls travel to Chelsea for a 6 p.m. game today.
Pinson Valley’s varsity girls and boys get their 2013-2014 seasons under way today when they host Clay-Chalkville at 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., respectively.
