The Hewitt-Trussville varsity girls basketball team drilled Chelsea tonight, winning 66-14.
Sophomore guard Gabby Hill led Hewitt-Trussville (2-0) with 14 points. She grabbed six rebounds, dished five assists and had five steals. Junior point guard Cayla Dillard scored 11 points, pulled down six rebounds, contributed eight assists and also stole the ball five times.
Seniors Morgan McLain and Elizabeth Brown scored 10 points each. Senior guard Skylar Reaves chipped in with seven points, five rebounds, five assists and five steals.
The Lady Huskies knocked down nine 3-pointers in the win.
Hewitt-Trussville plays at rival Clay-Chalkville on Thursday at 6 p.m.
