CLAY — Clay-Chalkville held Hewitt-Trussville to eight second-half points and beat the rival 56-32 on Thursday night.
Junior point guard Kristian Hudson led all scorers with 29 points for Clay-Chalkville (3-0). Junior TaJana Thomas scored seven points, grabbed 10 rebounds and blocked three shots.
For Hewitt-Trussville (2-1), senior Morgan McLain posted a double-double, scoring 11 points and pulling down 11 rebounds. Sophomore Gabby Hill scored 10 points.
