BIRMINGHAM — UAB head basketball coach Jerod Haase says signee Jarvis Calhoun, a Hewitt-Trussville senior, will be a big part of the program’s future success.
“Jarvis is a local kid and he and his family understand the tradition of UAB Basketball,” Haase said in a news release. “They believe in the future of this program and he will be a big part of the future success. Jarvis is a tremendous shooter and has a knack for scoring in a variety of ways.
“He will be able to add a lot to our team, not only offensively, but also defensively by using his quickness and speed. He has had a great high school career thus far at Hewitt-Trussville and we really look forward to him being a Blazer.”
Calhoun signed his national letter of intent with UAB last week.
