CLAY — Two Clay-Chalkville senior football players will play in the 27th annual Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Football Game on Saturday.
Quarterback Hayden Moore and defensive lineman Jalen Harvey were selected in October to play in the game, which will take place at the Cramton Bowl in Montgomery. Kickoff is at noon.
The game will be televised live by AHSAA TV partner Raycom over stations in Alabama and Mississippi. Montgomery affiliate WSFA TV 12 is the Raycom’s anchor station for the annual event.
The 6-foot-3, 190-pound Moore has signed to play college football at the University of Cincinnati. Moore this season completed 126-of-196 passes for 1,966 yards and 25 touchdowns to one interception. He also rushed 82 times for 677 yards and seven touchdowns.
The 6-foot-3, 300-pound Harvey is committed to the University of South Alabama. Harvey this season was fourth on the team with 46 tackles. He led Clay-Chalkville with 10.5 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks.
Alabama holds a 19-7 edge in the series, which was played at Mobile’s Ladd-Peebles Stadium from 1988-2010. Last year’s 21-16 win was the fifth straight for Alabama.
