TRUSSVILLE — To celebrate the Iron Bowl, Paine Primary School students participated in a friendly fundraising competition.
Students brought in coins to place in a bucket for the team that they wanted to win this year’s Auburn vs. Alabama game. Each cent counted as one point for their team.

When the students put their change in the bucket, they also put their name in another bucket for a chance to win a prize pack of goodies featuring their favorite team.
Alabama won the competition 75,647 cents to 53,204 cents. The students raised more than $1,000 for the physical education department to buy new equipment.
