PINSON — The Pinson Valley varsity girls basketball team came up short against John Carroll on Friday, 62-54.
The girls had trailed by 14 points entering the fourth quarter.
Junior guard Alex Lowery scored a team-high 21 points and junior Maralie McKinney added 18 points for the Lady Indians (3-10).
The Pinson Valley varsity boys beat John Carroll 79-59. Senior Zach Jackson led the Indians (7-6) with 20 points and eight rebounds.
Junior Donevan Waldrop scored 19 points, dished six assists and had four steals. Sophomore Cornell Hale and senior Kerry Griffith scored nine points each.
