CLAY — Clay-Chalkville senior defensive lineman Jalen Harvey has been offered a scholarship by Boise State, he said on his Twitter account Wednesday night.
Harvey, who committed to South Alabama in November, plans to visit Boise State either Jan. 10 or Jan. 17.
The 6-foot-3, 300-pound Harvey was fourth on the Clay-Chalkville defense in 2013 with 46 tackles. He led Clay-Chalkville with 10.5 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks.
Boise State recently named Bryan Harsin, the former Arkansas State head coach and Texas co-offensive coordinator, its head coach. Chris Petersen coached the team from 2006 through 2013.
National Signing Day is Feb. 5.
