TRUSSVILLE — Hewitt-Trussville senior cross country runner Alexandria Pidcock has committed to the University of North Alabama.
Pidcock finished 11th individually in the Alabama High School Athletic Association Class 6A state championship in November. The Hewitt-Trussville girls finished fifth as a team at the state meet, behind Mountain Brook, Hoover, Vestavia Hills and Bob Jones.
Pidcock finished fifth individually last year at the Class 6A, Section 3 meet. The Hewitt-Trussville girls placed second behind Mountain Brook at the meet.
According to www.alabamarunners.com, Pidcock’s personal best time in the 5,000-meter run is 18:46.20. Her best in the 3,200-meter run is 11:43.82 and her best in the 1,600-meter run is 5:19.77.
