CLAY — Clay-Chalkville sophomore wide receiver T.J. Simmons earned his second scholarship offer Thursday.
Simmons was offered by South Alabama. He was offered by Cincinnati last month.
As a sophomore, Simmons was a deep threat for Clay-Chalkville late in the season. He caught 15 passes for the season for 309 yards and six touchdowns. He also totaled 167 kickoff return yards.
Arkansas State coaches also on Thursday visited with senior defensive lineman Jalen Harvey, a South Alabama verbal commitment, and sophomore linebacker Terry Brown. Harvey was recently offered by Boise State.
Alabama head football coach Nick Saban visited Pinson Valley junior running back Nick Gibson on Thursday. New Crimson Tide offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin was also scheduled to visit Pinson Valley on Thursday.
