PINSON — The Hewitt-Trussville varsity girls basketball team set a school record in its 53-41 win at Pinson Valley on Saturday.
The Lady Huskies (15-10) knocked down 10 3-pointers, a new school record.
Junior guard Cayla Dillard scored 12 points and handed out 10 assists. Senior forward Morgan McLain scored 11 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Sophomore guard Gabby Hill added eight points.
The Pinson Valley varsity boys basketball team beat Hewitt-Trussville 72-53 on Saturday. Zach Jackson scored 19 points for Pinson Valley (16-8). Will McCullough scored 19 for Hewitt-Trussville (15-10).
Hewitt-Trussville’s varsity squads host Clay-Chalkville today for senior night. The girls square off at 6 p.m., and the boys play at 7:30 p.m.
