TRUSSVILLE — The Alabama Farmers Federation has announced its endorsement of Trussville’s Danny Garrett for State House District 44.
“Danny Garrett’s business background will serve us well in the Legislature,” said Jefferson County Federation President John Morris. “He is a strong conservative who will work hard for the people of this district.”

District 44 includes Clay, Pinson, Trussville and part of northeast Jefferson County.
Garrett is vice president of the Trussville City Board of Education.
The Alabama Farmers Federation is the state’s largest farm organization with more than 365,000 members.
Johnny Amari and Joe Freeman are also running for the District 44 seat. Amari said Friday he had not yet received any endorsements. Freeman did not immediately respond to a message seeking comment.
