We all know we need to take multivitamins, but how do we decide which ones are right for us? With many choices out there, selecting the correct product can seem daunting for some, while others may assume all multivitamins are the same. This time, I’m going to share with you what I have learned from research and results I’ve seen and experienced.
The first thing you want to look at when choosing a multivitamin is whether it’s synthetic or organic. Synthetic supplements are known as isolates. The problem with isolates is that your body is only able to absorb a small amount and is able to make good use of even less. On the flip side, your body absorbs much more from organic supplements. How do you choose a good organic supplement? What should you look for? Look at the ingredients on the vitamin labels. Do you recognize them? If your supplement is a good, natural supplement, you will be able to recognize and pronounce most of the ingredients. I personally use and recommend products mainly from Standard Process or Premier Research Labs, based on my research and results.
Even when narrowing it down to a specific supplement company, there are often many choices. Standard Process and Premier Research Labs offer an abundant amount of supplements, but it’s still important to narrow things down to proper vitamins for your needs. One supplement from Standard Process that I highly recommend is Catalyn. It’s one of the company’s original products and is considered a “purpose multiple.” It’s a concentrated multiple vitamin, trace mineral and enzyme product. It’s designed to contain all the known and unknown vitamins and trace minerals. It’s made from natural sources, which means it has all the trace minerals found in nature, as well as the major minerals. It’s a complete vitamin option.
Another multivitamin option is Cyro-yeast. This product is especially good for adult males. Cyro-yeast is Catalyn, with lactic acid yeast, that comes in a chewable wafer. This product contains all the benefits of Catalyn, but with extra B vitamins from yeast. Many adult males benefit from additional B vitamins in their multivitamins.
The next multivitamin option from Standard Process is e-Poise. The name may look and sound weird but is a really beneficial, whole food, organic option especially for adolescents and adult females. E-Poise is made of Catalyn, with Ferrofood and chlorophyll. This formula provides the benefits of a multivitamin while helping the blood to get and remain healthy.
The final multivitamin product I want to highlight is Cyrofood. Cyrofood is especially valuable for children and the elderly. It’s derived the same way as Catalyn but is also a multi enzyme, high fiber supplement. Cyrofood also contains Calcifood powder, a supplement particularly favorable for bones. If you’re looking for a product high in fiber and good for the health of your bones and teeth, this one is for you.
I hope this helps you find the right multivitamin. No matter what company you buy your multivitamins from, be sure that you’re getting good organic, whole food supplements.
