TRUSSVILLE — A man allegedly fleeing from a traffic violation crashed on Deerfoot Parkway late Thursday night.
Trussville Police Department Lt. Jeff Bridges said the officer’s report was not complete yet Friday morning, but the driver of the car was being stopped for a traffic violation and sped away on Deerfoot Parkway. He wrecked in a curve on Deerfoot Parkway, Bridges said.
Trussville Fire & Rescue’s Gary Vaughn said the car was heading north on Deerfoot Parkway at about 11:30 p.m. or 11:45 p.m. when it crashed into the woods. He said the driver was alert but was transported to UAB Hospital with unknown injuries. The car was totaled, Vaughn said.
Vaughn said the car went into the woods a “pretty good ways.”
