PINSON — The Pinson Education Foundation is hosting a banquet in May to honor outstanding students, teachers and support staff in the city’s schools.
The sixth annual banquet is May 12 at 7 p.m. in the fellowship hall of Palmerdale United Methodist Church.
Nominations are open for students, teachers and support staff until April 21. Awards will be given for each school this year for the first time ever.
“It’s an important thing in our community,” Pinson City Councilman Joe Cochran said. “It’s a great thing (the Palmerdale Homesteads Community Center) started.”
There are 200 total tickets available for the banquet and are $10 and required to be purchased by April 30.
