TRUSSVILLE — The Cahaba River Crawfish and Shrimp Boil is scheduled for Saturday, April 12 at Trussville Springs in Trussville.
The event will begin at 4 p.m. and last until 9:30 p.m. Admission will be free.
The boil will feature boiled crawfish and shrimp, live music and a fireworks display.
“Bring your lawn chairs, and spend a relaxing evening along the banks of the beautiful Cahaba in the heart of Trussville,” said Cahaba River Crawfish and Shrimp Boil Chairman Wendell Gibson. “The music will be great and the food even better.”
Free kids’ activities are planned, said Gibson, including face painting and picnic games such as cornhole.
Musical entertainment will feature DJ Austin Jones along with II Da Maxx opening for headliner band Sidecar.
The Cahaba River Crawfish and Shrimp Boil is a fundraising event benefitting the Trussville City Schools Foundation and Hewitt-Trussville Athletic Foundation. Last year’s event raised ,000.
