TRUSSVILLE — Students in the Hewitt-Trussville High School Academy of Finance’s Entrepreneurship class recently competed in the Junior Achievement Biz Plan Challenge.
The requirements of the competition were to complete a business plan, an investor’s pitch video and a commercial. The students had to create their own business and product or service.
Two of the Hewitt-Trussville High School teams placed in the final six for the challenge. Those teams were Molly Self of Magic City Renewal, and Will Baumgartner and Casey Grammer of Quick Play.
On April 8, these teams competed for the top three prizes. Self came away with the People’s Choice Award as well as first place in the competition and received a $3,000 scholarship.
