TRUSSVILLE -According to the National Weather Service in Birmingham, severe weather is on the way and it will come in a series of increasingly dangerous waves.
The first wave will move into central Alabama on Monday morning. Waves two and three should arrive Monday night and Wednesday. The risk factor for flooding, damaging winds, hail and tornadoes during the last two rounds is high across the board.
- Saturday -Sunny, with a high near 81. South wind around 5 mph.
- Saturday night -Mostly clear, with a low around 61. South wind around 5 mph becoming calm.
- Sunday -A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m. Increasing clouds, with a high near 81. South wind 5 to 15 mph.
- Sunday Night -A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 64. South wind 5 to 10 mph.
- Monday -Showers and thunderstorms likely. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 81. Breezy, with a south wind 10 to 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.
- Monday Night -Showers and thunderstorms. Low around 67. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent.
- Tuesday -Showers and thunderstorms likely. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 80. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.
- Tuesday Night -Showers and thunderstorms likely. Cloudy, with a low around 63. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.
- Wednesday -A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 77.
