TRUSSVILLE — Cancer survivors gathered Friday night and into Saturday morning at the Relay for Life of East Jefferson event at the Trussville youth football field in the Trussville Sports Complex.
They walked a survivors lap, lit luminarias in memory and honor of loved ones lost and still fighting, and participated in a fight back ceremony.

A post at www.relay.org/eastjeffersonal on Sunday noted that 26 teams and 195 participants had raised $32,460.37 for cancer research. The total funds raised could be more.
