TRUSSVILLE — The Hewitt-Trussville varsity girls tennis team finished 13th at the Class 6A state championships and the boys finished 15th last month.
The girls finished the season with a 10-4 record, finishing second at the sectional tournament earlier this year. Team members include Kayla O’Barr, Ellyn Sartin, Julianna Howard, Callie Olszak, Mary Reid Prince, Anna Lauren Partee, Meagan Zeitvogel, Courtney Watson, Katelyn Skipper and Asheton Ryle. 
The boys finished the season with an 11-2 record, finishing second at the sectional tournament earlier this year. Team members include Noah Tippen, Gray Talley, Evan Oliver, Connor Higginbotham, Bryant Bishop, Eric Oare, Matthew Bryant, Tucker Brown, Cole Underwood, Jonathan Ennis, Isaac Weber, Seth Fox, Brady Bennett and Will McMurray.
The teams were coached by Mike Higginbotham and Scott Tippen.
