JEFFERSON COUNTY — “The Great Give” is this year’s online fundraising campaign for the Public Libraries In Jefferson County.
It will take place May 13-14.
“It is hard to think of life without the library cooperative,” said Patricia Ryan, Public Libraries In Jefferson County executive director. “That is why we are so excited to share news about ‘The Great Give’ campaign. We can’t wait to celebrate the difference the community’s generosity will make in May. It’s two extraordinary days to support the 40 public libraries in Jefferson County that make our area special, and it provides the opportunity for local residents to make a real impact.”
Due to funding cuts over the past several years, the library cooperative is using the campaign for continued assistance to keep the “40 Libraries. 1 County. 1 Card.” system alive.
The Jefferson County Library Cooperative works behind-the-scenes to coordinate the services that link the 40 public libraries with “one card.”
“The Great Give” fundraising campaign will assist the library cooperative as it works to continue providing the delivery service and network to Jefferson County constituents. All donations will be tax-deductible as the Jefferson County Library Cooperative is a registered 501(c)(3) organization.
The Trussville Public Library is located on Parkway Drive in Trussville, the Clay Public Library is on Old Springville Road in Clay and the Pinson Public Library is on Main Street in Pinson.
