TRUSSVILLE — Work is “progressing” on the garden expansion at Paine Intermediate School, according to Principal Beth Bruno.
Bruno said she was hoping that by the end of next week, most all of the project will be complete.
This week, stone pavers were being laid to define a walkway. New grass was being laid for the walkway, and crushed brick will cover the ground around the planting beds.
A small fountain and arbor will be added as well, Bruno said.
Bruno thanked PTO and parents for helping make the project happen by supporting this spring’s Boosterthon Fun Run. Paine Intermediate School raised more than $26,000 through the Boosterthon for the garden.
