TRUSSVILLE — Sylvan Learning Center has opened a location in Trussville.
The supplemental education provider recently moved from its Roebuck location to the Valley View shopping center in North Chalkville Road.
“Over the past decade, Trussville has cemented itself as the heart of the tri-county area,” regional executive director Cathy Parrill said. “Our move directly reflects the population growth of Trussville and the surrounding communities.”
The center expects to draw students primarily from cities and communities such as Fultondale, Gardendale, Irondale, Leeds, Moody, Pinson, Springville and Trussville.
The Trussville Area Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the
center’s official grand opening May 19.
In other business news, The Diner in Trussville, formerly The Southern Diner, permanently closed May 16.
“With great sadness we have closed our doors,” reads a post on the business’ Facebook page. “We sincerely thank you for your patronage.”
