PINSON — A Pinson Valley High School exceptional education teacher recently won a grant for iPads.
Lynn Malchus won a $1,700 grant from the Alabama State Council Knights of Columbus’ disability fund, according to the Jefferson County School District.
Malchus has been at Pinson Valley High School for nine years, spending seven of them as a collaborative special education teacher in math and science. The other two years Malchus has spent teaching the self-contained class grades 9-12.
Additionally, Malchus is the KEY CLUB sponsor for Pinson Valley High School. The service organization helps the school and community.
