TRUSSVILLE — The Trussville 12U National baseball team on June 16 beat Shades Mountain 20-8 to win the 2014 Metro 12U Championship.
Trussville finished the tournament undefeated at 9-0 and an overall season record of 16-0. The championship game was well played by Trussville. Four pitchers — Austin Hicks, Caleb Kettering, Davis Harper and Logan Blank — pitched for Trussville.

All 12 of Trussville’s players put runs on the board with 19 runs batted in and home runs by Stone Logan and Ethan Birdwell. Hicks delivered the final blow with a walk-off grand slam.
