TRUSSVILLE — The Trussville Police Department has arrested three burglary suspects.
Lt. Jeff Bridges said a resident of the Calumet subdivision in Trussville called police Thursday after a black male rang her doorbell then asked to cut her grass. Two other men were waiting in a white four-door Chrysler, Bridges said. The woman called police when the men left, and officers stopped the car on Roper Road at about 11 a.m., Bridges said.
Bridges said the driver was in possession of a gun reported stolen in a burglary that occurred on Brentwood Avenue on Friday. The vehicle also contained what are alleged to be burglary tools and a pistol reported stolen out of Argo, Bridges said.
Formal charges against the three men, all of Birmingham, are pending.
