GARDENDALE — Pinson Valley’s helmets will have a new look this season.
Pinson Valley head coach Matt Glover brought the new helmet to Jefferson and Shelby County High School Football Media Day on Tuesday.

Glover said the idea was to just do something different. Glover wanted a stripe on the helmet, and another person added the spear across the acronym.
Glover said each player’s number will also be on the helmet as a reward.
The helmet resembles the style of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
