PINSON — The Pinson City Council will meet in a special session Thursday, July 31 to consider the contract for the new city park.
The meeting is at 6:30 p.m. at Pinson City Hall.
According to the tentative agenda, there’s a resolution for the contract for park construction, as well as discussion of other park matters.
The park will be located near Center Point Parkway between Sweeny Hollow Road and Glen Brook Road. The city council hopes the park will be able to be opened in conjunction with Pinson’s 200th anniversary as a community in 2015.
There are also resolutions to accept proposals for the paving of the second sector of Aspen Ridge and to accept the dedication of a portion of Oak Street West to serve the new park.
