SPOC Automation Inc., a manufacturer in the oil and gas technology industry located on Gadsden Highway in Trussville, came in at No. 1,375 on the list. The listing shows that SPOC Automation totaled $8.2 million in revenue in 2010, but that number increased to $33.8 million in 2013, a 311 percent increase over a three-year period.
Inc. 5000 reported that SPOC Automation was founded in 2000 and has 65 employees. It reported that 41 of those jobs have been added in the last three years.
The Inc. 5000 list is compiled using percentage revenue growth from 2010 to 2013, with each independent company on the list generating at least million in revenue in 2013.
In September 2013, SPOC Automation completed its third production facility at its campus, which it expects to possibly outgrow in the next five years, according to the Birmingham Business Journal.
The company at the time announced it planned to add 10 to 15 jobs over the next year. Total project expansion costs were around .2 million.
