PINSON — Pinson Valley rolled over Class 4A No. 5 Oneonta 42-0 on Friday night at Willie Adams Stadium.

Senior running back Nick Gibson and junior quarterback Errius Collins had their own back-and-forth touchdown-fest.
First, Gibson scored on a 28-yard run to give the Indians (1-1) a 7-0 lead. Then, Collins rushed for an eight-yard score.
Gibson plunged forward for a four-yard TD near the end of the first quarter, and Collins followed with a five-yard TD run of his own.
Late in the game, Gibson busted through for a 60-yard run, putting Pinson Valley on top 35-0. Not long after, Collins — who fumbled to himself on the play — bolted 49 yards for the game’s final touchdown.
Gibson finished with 140 yards and three touchdowns on 15 carries. Collins had 80 yards on the ground and his three scores.
“Every year I’m wiser and more experienced,” Gibson said. “I still have a lot more growing to come.”
Oneonta managed just two first downs and 21 yards of total offense the whole game.
For Pinson Valley, Bailey Winnett had a fumble recovery and C.J. Rudolph grabbed an interception. Oneonta managed just one first down in the first half.
