TRUSSVILLE — Former “Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby” child actor Luke Bigham will face Trussville Municipal Court Judge Carl Chamblee on Friday, Sept. 12 for his most recent arrest.
Bigham was arrested Aug. 22 on a public intoxication charge, according to Trussville Police Department Lt. Jeff Bridges.
Bridges said Bigham was on Mobile Avenue in Trussville when officers were called. He was in an “unsafe condition,” and was arrested without incident, Bridges said.
In July, Bigham was found guilty of reckless driving and third-degree domestic violence in Trussville Municipal Court.
The reckless driving conviction stems from a June incident in which Bigham was the driver of a Lexus that was allegedly traveling in speeds in excess of 80 mph in a 35 mph zone and caused a five-vehicle accident on Main Street in Trussville. Bigham’s bond in that case was revoked by Chamblee on July 11 after Bigham was arrested and charged with third-degree domestic violence, when he allegedly pushed his mother down some stairs.
Bigham’s attorney Jeffrey Bramer said those guilty rulings would be appealed to Jefferson County Circuit Court. Bramer said the appealed cases “will start all over downtown.”
