CLAY — The Clay City Council is expected to approve the budget for its next fiscal year at its next meeting.
The meeting is Monday, Sept. 15 at 6:30 p.m. at Clay City Hall. A pre-council meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m.
At last week’s meeting, city council members discussed the direction of the newly approved five-millage property tax. City Manager Ronnie Dixon briefly discussed the budget and its relationship to the direction of the property tax, whether it be for schools, public safety or capital improvements.
