TRUSSVILLE — Paine Primary School recently celebrated September Attendance Awareness Month, an Alabama State Department of Education initiative.
Students received an incentive each week that they achieved perfect attendance. Week 1 students received a praise puff, Week 2 a perfect attendance pencil, Week 3 a perfect attendance paw print bracelet, and after the final week a perfect attendance certificate.
There were 496 students in kindergarten through second grade who came to school on time every day in September, and they did not check out before the school day ended.
