GRAYSON VALLEY — The Trussville Daybreak and Trussville Noon Rotary clubs have announced the results of their 22nd annual charity golf tournament.
The tournament was held Sept. 15 at Grayson Valley Country Club and raised more than $18,000 for scholarships for area high school students.
The first place team included Hugh Brindley, Ronnie Puryear, Rick Lloyd and Gary Woods.
The second place team consisted of Jim Cardwell, Ben Bishop, Allen Gillespie and Terry Estes. The third place team members were Bill Harwell, Michael Murphy, J.P. Thomas and Leon Black. Gillespie won the prize for closest to the pin.
The tournament was called after nine holes due to inclement weather. The date for next year’s tournament will be Sept. 14, 2015.
The Trussville Rotary Daybreak Club meets for breakfast on Wednesdays at 7 a.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn in Trussville. The Trussville Noon Rotary Club also meets there on Wednesdays.
