GRAYSON VALLEY — Two Center Point men have been charged with a home burglary in Grayson Valley.
According to Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Randy Christian, just after 8 p.m. Wednesday deputies were called to the 2500 block of Martin Road in Grayson Valley to investigate a report of a burglary in progress.
Christian said that a neighbor called to report that two men had forced their way into a nearby home and had removed items and loaded them into a red Mitsubishi truck. Responding deputies spotted the suspect vehicle leaving the neighborhood and stopped it, Christian said.
The occupants were identified as 58-year-old Ronald Alan Williams and 55-year-old William Blake Weaver, both of Center Point. Items stolen from the home were found in the truck. Weaver was also in possession of several pills containing hydrocodone.
The men were arrested and taken to the Jefferson County Jail. Weaver was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance and third-degree burglary. He was released after posting $15,000 bond. Williams was charged with third-degree burglary. He was released after posting $10,000 bond.
