TRUSSVILLE — The opening date for the new Hewitt-Trussville Stadium may be determined at Monday’s Trussville City Board of Education meeting.
The board will hold a board retreat Monday, Oct. 20, beginning with a tour of Hewitt-Trussville Middle School, followed by lunch in the Husky Cafe. After lunch, board members will return to the Central Office for the afternoon for the completion of the retreat.
The board meeting will follow at 6 p.m.
Trussville City Schools Superintendent Pattie Neill said earlier this month that all information about the stadium should be finalized by Monday, Oct. 20.
At the Oct. 1 construction progress meeting, there were progress reports on the landscaping, elevator installation and inspections, Neill said.
Oct. 3 had been the target date to open the new stadium. Hewitt-Trussville will have remaining home games Oct. 24 against Hoover and Oct. 31 against Clay-Chalkville.
The new Hewitt-Trussville Stadium is being constructed behind the Trussville Civic Center by Trussville-based Blalock Building Company for $14,626,550.
