TRUSSVILLE — The Trussville City Council on Tuesday unanimously approved a 1 percent pay raise increase across the board for city employees.
The increase was effective Saturday, Oct. 4, according to the approved resolution.
When the city council approved the 2014-2015 fiscal year budget, Trussville City Council President Buddy Choat said the budget included cost-of-living adjustments for city employees, a 1 percent pay increase across the board for city employees and longevity pay.
At the September meeting, Choat thanked all city departments for the work they do.
