TRUSSVILLE — Author and TV personality Jon McClure will be at the Trussville Public Library on Sunday, Nov. 2 at 1:30 p.m.
He will present a discussion of his new book, “Alabama’s Best Restaurants Cookbook,” following a brief demonstration on proper knife sharpening and care.
Books will also be available for sale (cash or check).
McClure is the author of seven books already. His travel all around Alabama for more than 20 years as the show producer for food, home, health and recreations shows brought “a dream of doing a book on all of Alabama,” McClure said. For the book, he ate in more than 1,000 restaurants all over Alabama. Already the author of “Birmingham’s Best Restaurants Cookbook,” McClure said his desire to tackle the entire state was “a huge challenge.”
McClure said this new book “means everything” to him. He said he and his wife had a choice in the early 1980s of living and working in about four different states.
“We both found Alabama and the Birmingham metro was friendly to a fault,” he said.
