CLAY — The Clay Public Library has again shaken up its hours.
The change in hours was posted on the library’s Facebook page last week.
It stated that effective Thursday, Nov. 6, new hours will be from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday; 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday; and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. The library will not be open on Saturday.
“Over the past several months, we have been evaluating library usage to determine the time we can best serve our patrons,” the post states.
In July, the library announced that effective Aug. 1, the library would be closed on Wednesdays. Revised hours of operation then were Monday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
In October, the Clay City Council cut the books, media and periodicals at the library from $15,000 to $7,500.
The Clay Public Library, which opened in October 2009, is located at 7257 Old Springville Road in Clay.
