CLAY — Clay-Chalkville High School senior Ceara Gray signed last week to be a part of the acrobatics and tumbling team at Baylor University in Waco, Texas.
Gray has spent the last three years with the ACE Warriors, ACE All-Stars of Birmingham’s senior co-ed level 5 team, which competes regionally and nationally.
Gray has competed with All-Star Cheerleading for nine years and has worked at ACE All-Stars of Birmingham as an instructor for the last two years. She’s been an athlete there for the last six years.
Gray carries a 4.0 grade-point average and was inducted into the National Honor Society her sophomore year. She was a member of the Key Club her sophomore and junior years.
This year, Gray volunteers her time with Clay Elementary School, tutoring children after school. She also sits with an elderly alzheimer’s patient some weekends.
