TRUSSVILLE — The two suspects who allegedly shoplifted from a Trussville department store around 2 p.m. on Dec. 3 have been identified.
Trussville Police Department Capt. Jeff Bridges identified the suspects as Roger Keith Steel, 38, of Birmingham and Jennifer Marie Vanhorn Cox, 39, of Center Point.
Steel is charged with first-degree robbery. His bond will be $30,000. Cox is charged with second-degree robbery. Her bond will be $30,000.
The suspects are still at large, Bridges said.
Steel and Cox allegedly placed merchandise in Cox’s purse and when they were approached by store personnel, Steel allegedly pulled a knife and threatened the employees.
The incident happened at Kohl’s, Bridges said.
The suspects left the scene in a green Mercury Mountaineer.
