TRUSSVILLE — As the demolition of Jack Wood Stadium in Trussville begins in late January, where will those who use the track for exercise go?
Trussville City Schools has a plan for that.

The school system has gotten the OK from the Trussville Civic Center for the public to park there and use a walking path that encircles the civic center, passing in front of the football field house on Husky Parkway and Hewitt-Trussville Stadium.
Two laps around the path equals one mile.
“This would be a great place to go,” Trussville City Schools Superintendent Pattie Neill said.
Those using the walking path may also use the civic center’s restrooms.
This is a temporary solution for walkers and runners until the demolition of Jack Wood Stadium and completion of the elementary school are completed. There will eventually be a modified track where the current track at Jack Wood Stadium is.
