BIRMINGHAM — The Center Point Fire District has released its incident report for 2014.
The fire district completed the year with a total of 7,419 calls for incidents, the most in the last 10 years.
This was the fourth year in a row that the fire district answered more than 7,000 calls. In 2004, it answered 5,873 calls. That number decreased to 5,803 in 2005 and was between 6,105 calls and 6,821 calls all between 2006 and 2010.
The Center Point Fire District serves about 65,000 residents in a 70-mile radius, including in Clay, Pinson, Center Point and surrounding areas.
