JEFFERSON COUNTY — Due to the expected frigid temperatures, Jefferson County schools will delay school opening by two hours Thursday.
Classes will begin at 10 a.m. and buses will run two hours later than normal.
There will be no breakfast served. Principals will make accommodations to let students in each facility and be supervised prior to class time at 10 a.m.
All school-based employees are to report to work by 8 a.m.
Trussville City Schools has yet to make a decision on school Thursday.
