TRUSSVILLE — Niche.com has released its list of 2015 best school districts in Alabama, and Trussville City Schools is near the top.
Trussville came in at No. 7 on the list. Ahead of Trussville, in order, are Homewood City Schools, Mountain Brook City Schools, Hoover City Schools, Auburn City Schools, Vestavia Hills City Schools and Madison City Schools.
Trussville City Schools earned an A grade for academics and teachers, according to Niche.com. The school system earned an A- for health and safety, resources and facilities, and sports and fitness.
Of the 16 people who responded to a parent/student survey on overall experience, Trussville City Schools earned a 4.2 out of 5.
The school system received a B grade in extracurriculars and activities, and a C+ in student culture and diversity.
Jefferson County Schools ranked No. 44 on the list. Birmingham City Schools came in at No. 90.
