TRUSSVILLE — Japan International Karate Academy in Trussville has announced that four students were promoted to first-degree black belt on Dec. 13 , 2014.

The four earning black belts were John Fievet, Stephen Parker, Anna Beth Swatzell and Frasier Horton.
“Your perseverance and hard work has brought great credit upon you and our organization,” said Japan International Karate Academy owner Michele Perkins. “We are very proud to add these members to the ranks of high quality martial artists.”
