PINSON — The Pinson Public Library will host a book sale and blood drive Saturday, Jan. 31 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
A LifeSouth bus will be on hand for the blood drive.
Anyone who donates blood will receive a free, reusable library bag, a library coffee mug and a coupon to fill up the bag at the book sale. The book sale features paperbacks, kids’ books, history books and VHS tapes, with selling prices between 10 cents and $2.
Those who come could also fill a sturdy plastic library bag for $5 or fill a reusable library bag for $7.
In other news, the library will be the site of Valentine’s Day card-making Feb. 2-9. Those who wish to can stop by any time on those dates to make cards for Children’s Hospital. The library will provide craft materials to make the cards. The cards will be delivered to the hospital in time for Valentine’s Day.
