PINSON — The Crime Stoppers of Metro Alabama Facebook page posted information about a residential burglary that occurred in Pinson on Dec. 9, 2014.
According to the post, numerous items were stolen, including jewelry, electronics, credit cards, gift cards, and clothing. One of the stolen credit cards was used at a convenience store in the Tarrant area on the same day.
Video images capture pictures of the suspect inside the store as well as his truck outside the store. The vehicle is believed to be a white Ford F-150, box style (late 1980s or early 1990s).
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reported that the burglary occurred at a home in the 5300 block of Briarwood Drive near Pinson. The burglary occurred between 1:20 p.m. and 5 p.m. It was reported that the homeowner left the residence for a few hours. When the homeowner returned, the back door was open and several items had been taken from the home, including credit cards.
A short time later a white male suspect used one of the victim’s credit cards at a Kangaroo Express convenience store on Tallapoosa Street near Interstate 59. He was driving an older white Ford truck with a ladder in the back and was wearing a crimson cap with a white script “A,” gray sweatshirt with some kind of design on it, blue jeans, and black shoes.
