TRUSSVILLE — The indoor gun range planned for Deerfoot Parkway in Trussville said on its Facebook page this week that the “long wait is nearly over.”
Sheepdog Firearms Inc. posted a construction update to its Facebook page Tuesday, stating that the company’s “last hurdle” is the Trussville Design Review Committee, which will take up the company’s designs Monday, March 23. That meeting will be at Trussville City Hall.
The Facebook post stated that Sheepdog Firearms Inc. has done everything possible to ensure that it’s met all requirements “and we anticipate no problems.”
There is no timetable set for when the gun range may open.
Sheepdog Firearms Inc. announced in the summer of 2014 that it was coming to Deerfoot Parkway, possibly as early as the spring of 2015.
The Facebook page stated that the business will include three shooting ranges — a 15-yard pistol range, a 25-yard range and a 50-yard range — an archery range, and a gun store including a gun rental and test center.
