TRUSSVILLE — Hewitt-Trussville High School’s David Acfalle is the Trussville Rotary Daybreak Club’s January Student of the Month.
Acfalle is a member of the football team and maintains a 3.64 grade-point average while taking pre-AP classes. He is currently a sophomore and hopes to possibly attend college at Stanford University.

New this month, the club asks the Student of the Month to select a teacher who has impacted him or her. The teacher will be recognized as the Teacher of the Month. Acfalle selected his pre-AP algebra teacher, Leah Burke.
Both received a certificate from the Rotary Club and a gift card.
